We advise you regularly check:
- The torque for al Contact System pivots

- Your brakes for wear and tear
- For all non-COMMENCAL components please follow the manufacturers guidelines for maintenance frequency (fork, shock, brakes, etc.).
More on this on our User Guide.
All of our bikes come with tubes installed as default. Those that are marked as tubeless ready will need tubeless rim tape, valves and sealant in order to be set as tubeless.
Don't panic! There's an easy way to solve this. Carefully cleaning both your disc and pads with brake cleaner or isopropyl alcohol will solve any noise coming from possible contamination.
To avoid the discs touching the brake pads, a correct alignment of the caliper is essential, follow these instructions in order to get it right:
1. Loosely install the caliper onto the fork or frame.
2. Lightly squeeze the brake lever three times and hold.
3. Lightly tighten the bolts. Release the lever.
4. Check that the brake pads are equally spaced on either side of the rotor.
5. Lightly squeeze and hold the brake lever.
6. Tighten the bolts. If the brake pads rub on the rotor, loosen the caliper bolts and adjust the caliper position.
Repeat steps 2-6 until it's perfect.
Finally, remember that you will need to bed in your brakes each time you have new pads or rotors. You can see the proper way to do it here.

This may vary between airlines. It is important to know that lithium batteries are considered as a dangerous item, so it's best to check with your airline first.
Electric bikes are set for a maximum speed of 25 km/h.
The autonomy of the bike is determined by several factors, the battery's capacity, the efficiency of the engine, rider weight, the assistance mode chosen, the duration and intensity of your rides, among others. As a reference, Shimano states that a 504Wh battery will go up to 100km (62 miles).
The duration of a battery is evaluated in cycles. One cycle is a complete charge/discharge. A Shimano STEPS battery will run smoothly for 1000 cycles (approx. 20.000 km or 2 - 3 years of use). After this, you may see the performance of your battery decrease and thus each charge will last less.
